a warm hari raya
"do you know about scarves?"
"ya, why?"
"in Quran, there's somewhere stated that if you're not covering your aurah as a Musleh (muslim), your hair will be pulled and tied upside down in Jahanam. i wonder why there's Musleh out there, not cover their aurah. Haiyooh. it's painful!"
- Hajer (Hajar) or her chinese name, Xue Wei (means Snow) is my latest family member. born to be a muslim, raised in a chinese family in China, and got married with my cousin. she can't speak Malay, but can speak well in English. (and knows Arabic too).
"do you like Malaysian food? do you enjoy them?"
"yaa, i like it. but i dont eat sweet food"
"my nenek is good at cooking, have you taste it?"
"oh ya, ya. that day, nenek cooked Ren-dang. it's made with beef and cow lungs. yea, it's delicious"
"yup, she can cook Asam Pedas too. it's the best."
"what a-sam pe-das?"
*tergaruk-garuk kepala fikir macam mana nak explain.
"it's like a soup with sour and spicy taste."
"ohh. ok ok"
-Hajer is very beautiful. seriously. (!).
"can i tell you something?"
"ya?"
"you look like a barbie doll"
"what?"
"you look like BARBIE"
"what barbie?"
"it's a doll"
"ugly, you mean?"
"haha, nooo. you're beautiful!"
"hahahaha"
p/s: raya tahun ni banyak benda berlaku. berdoa saja yang mampu. :'(
anyway, i'm glad Hajer is here. at least she adds rainbow to our hari raya.
-ignore my grammar. zzz
