salam.

yesterday, i asked my mum to buy something from mcd (mc cafe to be exact). she was actually having  to do some stuffs around there with her friend, so alang-alang, tolong belikan je lah. then honestly i did asked her if she dont mind to buy something fancy. fancy in the term of "extra ordinary" thing that my mum could buy. so dia cakap "tak kesah pun, nanti ibu belikan. syara nak apa?" then tetiba time tu out of nowhere angin craving nak something sweet pun datang. so i asked her to buy this particular drink from mc cafe. it was early in the morning and my mind pun tak work properly so i really malas nak gugel (as i forgot what that drink name) so i pun bluntly cakap "ibu, tolong belikan caramel macchiato".  my traditional, 50 y/o mum whom does not know anything about the drink just said "okay, nanti ibu belikan". so i was so, so confident about her confidence (haha). i asked her again. "takpa ibu, nanti ibu pegi je kat kaunter tu, then tunjuk ni *scribbled 1 caramel macchiato on a sticky note*. tapi kalau takde, ibu beli je la frozen coke yang biasa ibu beli tu". then dia macam okay je sebab mood dia memang gila okay pagi semalam so macam tak kesah.

later dalam petang macam tu, baru dia balik.

"nah. ibu dah belikan. ibu tunjuk je kat kaunter tu" sambil senyum lebar.

then i was like yeay then alamak.

"ala, lupa nak cakap belikan yang iced punya. tapi takpalah, ini pun da sedap dah"

*sambil sambut hot cup mc cafe tu dari dia*

and i was like on rush or something; cucuk straw terus sedut.

POOF!

my throat was on fireeeeeeeeeee. my tongue suddenly tasted something it never taste before.

It was totally bitter, but luckily the caramel aftertaste came like 5-6 secs after.

i was totally in shock, my brain started to send some signals of *rainbow, rainbow, everywhere*. waddeheck i've been drinking before. goshh. then my mum "ibu pelik betul kenapa ringan je cup tu masa beli tadi".

then i pun cepat2 bukak that hot cup and it was only espresso inside.

imagine,

only 30% of the cup is filled with espresso (with a dash of caramel).

it was black.

the liquid was entirely black (duhh, coffee kot). and the other 70% of the container is filled with those invisible (i mean NOTHING but) air.

HAHAHA.

"ibu, dia lupa letak susu ke?"
"entah, ibu tengok tadi dia sorang2 je buat kerja. dah la ramai orang time tu. mesti dia lupa lah tu"
"ish, takleh jadi ni, mesti dia buat silap"
*sambil buat nada redha*

luckily ada fresh milk dalam peti ais, so all i did was top up the remaining with milk, then sejukkan dalam peti. dia punya rasa tu...pergh... *insert any fantastic words here*

so early this morning i decided to email my complaint to mcd regarding the 30% of drink inside my full-of-hope caramel macchiato cup. then masa tu terfikirlah nak google pasal this mc cafe, mana lah tahu ada orang komplen benda yang sama ke, ape ke.

segala persoalan terungkai akhirnya. nasib baik tak sempat send komplen dekat email, kalau tak memang dah malu alah dah.

rupanya yang ibu beli tu "Espresso Macchiato + Caramel syrup". based on the picture, memang betul lah dia punya kuantiti sikit: 4oz je. 

LOL.

and guess what, another funny thing is the actual drink yang aku crave semalam is "Iced Caramel Latte".

did you know that Macchiato ni sebenarnya ada dua jenis? Espresso / Latte. and actually latte macchiato tu similar dengan iced caramel latte yang aku nak.

GOSH.

untuk tak memeningkan otak, tengok je la video ni. i admit i have NO knowledge about this caffeine thingy other than those 3-in-1s. *amik bantal tekup muka*

akhirnya seorang syarah belajar sesuatu yang baru hari ini.
